Are the coaches certified?
Yes, all coaches hold either International or US qualifications and have experience working with children. Our most qualified staff work on our Residential Academies.
My child has never played soccer before, so will your Residential Academy be suitable?
No, unless your child is attending our Fun in the Sun program (only available at our Ojai location), experience playing soccer is essential due to the demands of the program.
How is your Residential Academy structured and what types of activities take place each day?
Our program has a main topic for each day (e.g. Passing & Movement) unless you are part of a team program, which will have a specific team curriculum that has been discussed with the team's coach.
Our curriculum is designed based on the player's age and ability. We focus on technical development, tactical decision-making and small-sided games. Each day concludes with a World Cup tournament.
We offer Half-Day programs (8:30am - 11:00am), Full-Day programs (8:30am – 4pm), Extended-Day programs (8:30am – 8pm) and Overnight programs (full room and board), from Sunday to Friday.
What equipment does my child require at the Residential Academy and what do you provide?
Each child should bring suitable soccer wear for the entire program, including cleats, shinguards and sun block. We provide a soccer ball, Academy dri-fit shirt and water bottle.
How should my child dress for Residential Academy?
We recommend children wear a t-shirt, shorts, socks, shinguards and soccer cleats.
Do you provide water at the Residential Academy?
Yes, water is provided at the program.
Is there shade provided at the Residential Academy?
Yes, shade is provided at the program.
Am I allowed to stay at the Residential Academy?
Yes, you are more than welcome to stay for the field sessions but it’s optional.
Do we automatically receive a soccer ball as part of the Residential Academy?
Yes, it’s included in the program.
If I order any additional items, will I receive them at the program?
Yes, however camp equipment can not be guaranteed for children who register less than 10 days prior to the Residential Academy.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, but all refunds are subject to a $40 admin fee and no refund is provided for cancellation within 14 days of the camp start date. However, you can receive a full refund via a gift card or if you transfer to any future program, which will not be subject to the $40 admin fee.
Is my child allowed to walk or ride their bike to and from the Residential Academy?
Yes, but only if the parent signs our authorization form and the child must be 10 years of age or older.
What type of supervision do you provide?
We have an on-site counselor along with our coaches to ensure the children are supervised at all times.
What happens if there is bad weather or an act of god?
Should inclement weather or acts of god affect the program any lost hours will be made up in the camp week. Unfortunately, if this is not possible, we do not issue refunds.
Can we register for a Residential Academy the weekend prior or just show up on the day of camp?
Our Residential Academies typically allow sign ups over the weekend prior to the program starting and may also allow walk-ons, but cannot be guaranteed so we always recommend registering beforehand.
Please note that a $10 late fee is applied when registering less than 10 days prior to the start of camp.
What if my child has to leave the Residential Academy due to injury or illness?
You will receive a pro rated refund, however doctor's verification may be required.
Do you offer any Residential Academy discounts?
Yes, we offer individual player, small group and team discounts. Please call our head office for more information.
Do you offer a multi camp discount?
Yes, once you have registered online for one of our programs you can receive up to a $25 discount when registering for additional camp programs in the same year.
Do you provide sign up incentives?
Yes, but you need to look out for our seasonal incentives. Any promotional offers are only valid during specified dates and cannot be exchanged for retroactive benefit.
